The Moorea Island Beach Hotel (MIBH) is located in the neighborhood of Haapiti on the northwest side of Moorea, approximately 33 km from Moorea’s ferry boat landing and approximately 27 km from Moorea’s airport. (By the way, Moorea’s main road is approximately 64 km and encircles the island’s coastline. ) The cab fare is approximately 5,000 XPF (@$45 as of March 2023) from Moorea’s ferry boat landing to our hotel. Several grocery stores, a gas station, gift shops, restaurants, snack shops, pharmacy, ATM, and a tabac are within walking distance of the hotel.

The bungalows at MIBH are approximately 215 ft.² and are air-conditioned. They include a double bed, closet, safe, shelves, toilet, shower, sink/vanity, linens, towels, beach towels, hairdryer and a small refrigerator. Daily housekeeping services are provided at no additional charge. Each bungalow has a terrasse with a table, two chairs.

The Hotel does not provide Lunch and Dinner, however there are 8 restaurants within a 5 minutes walk. All guests have 24-hour access to the open-concept main salon with its stunning views of the beach and sea. The salon’s large porch faces west and we enjoy dramatic sunsets. The salon also has comfortable chairs for reading and socializing, dining room tables to enjoy a meal or beverage, a commercial kitchen with utensils, dishes, and glassware in which to prepare meals, and an automatic coffee machine for free coffees. A small refrigerator for each bungalow is located in the kitchen area of the salon.

MIBH guests are free to enjoy our complementary kayaks and bicycles, as well as swimming and snorkeling from the sandy beach in front of the hotel. Rental cars and motor scooters are available for an additional fee (approximately $100 and $45 per day, respectively; vehicles are rented with a full tank of gas and guests are responsible for returning them with a full gas tank). A gas station is conveniently located approximately 300 meters from MIBH. We are also happy to advise you on and arrange for local tours and activities as well as reservations at nearby restaurants.

Ottima posizione sulla spiaggia con vista spettacolare. Camere confortevoli e colazione super. Nous avons été accueillis avec beaucoup de gentillesse : le personnel est chaleureux, disponible et aux petits soins. Les bungalows sont très bien aménagés, confortables et, comme ils sont peu nombreux, l’endroit offre une atmosphère intime et paisible, très agréable. Nous avons particulièrement apprécié les kayaks mis gratuitement à disposition, qui nous ont permis de partir à la découverte du lagon et de vivre un magnifique moment au plus près de la nature, avec la chance d’observer des requins et des tortues. 🐢🦈 Un petit centre commercial est également facilement accessible à pied ou à vélo, très pratique pour déjeuner ou faire quelques courses. Et mention spéciale pour le petit déjeuner, absolument fabuleux ! Très copieux, composé de délicieux produits locaux, le tout servi avec une gentillesse et une attention sincères. 🌺 Une très belle adresse que nous recommandons sans hésiter pour commencer un séjour à Moorea ! 💙

We found it through a vlog on Mo'orea and couldn't believe such a place existed - we sought quaint, local vibe, cultural immersion (as much as one can get on a short trip) walkable to shops/restaurants, with active options (they have complimentary bikes and kayaks and it far exceeded our hopes and expectations. The villas, the views, sunsets, happy hour, and breakfast (delicious!!) were everything we hoped for and more. Then there was the staff - they made us feel welcome from the moment they greeted us with their first 'Ia ora na to the day we departed. Always warm, helpful, and welcoming.
